「イメージ」はどこからやってくるのか。私は視覚からだと考えている。しかし描きたい対象が既に存在しない場合、どの様に絵画制作を行えば良いのか。
昨年父親が他界し、死の床の顔を描いた。見て描く事にも最後があると知った瞬間だった。私たちのプロジェクトのテーマである「香り」について、私はそれを何らかの即物的な匂いではなく、記憶の曖昧さや再現の難しさとして、絵画制作上で起こる出来事と重ね合わせて捉えた。

Where is the “image” from? I think it`s by sight. So when the object that I want to draw doesn`t exist, how can we product an art work. The last year died my father, so I drew his death face. In that moment I understand, to draw seeing something has a end as well.
About our own theme, the “perfume”, I catch it like something abstract, unclear and difficult to represent, and I think it`s too similar to our work.
